Seymour John is working in exclusive partnership with The Wrekin Housing Group to support with their recruitment for an Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis.

The Role

As an Assistant accountant you will play a vital role in ensuring that accurate information is delivered to our management team to facilitate the group’s decision making. Your responsibilities will include assisting in producing financial reports and budgets (monthly and quarterly).Preparing bespoke financial reports for the subsidiary entities, reconciling control accounts, assisting with yearend and liaising with auditors and training non finance personnel on systems/policies/procedures.

What you will need

As a minimum you will be working towards level 3 AAT or above and you will have demonstrable relevant experience in a similar role. You should be computer literate and able to use MS Excel to advanced standard (pivot tables/lookups as a minimum.) We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, along with a commitment to your own professional development.
