Business Development Manager - Large Format Print - UK Territory, West Yorkshire Production Facility - £45,000 + Car (or Allowance) + Commission
My role as a recruiter is difficult at the best of times, even more so when I am tasked with getting the very best sales people to meet and openly talk about a new opportunity when realistically you’re smashing it, earning the commission and consistently riding the crest of that wave.
You’re hesitant about moving on, I get it. Why would you want to move unless there’s a better opportunity to develop, a greater earning potential and knowledge that your clients would fit after spending such a longtime developing them with your current business. Together with my client, we’ve had to work together to come up with an opportunity (and package) to ensure that the salespeople their competitors don’t want to lose, you, are open to a conversation about moving on.
So if you’re reading this, we are halfway there.
The opening I have is a BDM. This is your chance to join a business that are steeped in history, highly regarded and expanding into new areas. With a production facility that is turning around graphics and visual communication for some of the biggest names in sport, retail & museums and heritage, you're going to be blown away by the creative possibilities.
The role you’ll need to be interested and experienced in doing has to be sales. Prospecting, pitching, winning, developing new clients, and then nurturing them into those repeat customers that feels so good. They, the client, have previously developed internal operations and client service professionals into the sales roles so we are open to this too from an external perspective.
We all (You, the client and I) know Sales is a tough game. We love it though. The highs, the buzz of moving the customer from prospect through to a key client. Enjoying the rewards of your customers being happy, repeat business and of course the commission that comes with the role. Outside of the good bits, there’s a lot of lows and uncontrollable elements to the sales process that certainly test our character, strength of mind and our ability to keep moving. Fortunately, my client also gets that this is a tough gig and will support people unreservedly if you’ve got the right attitude and potential.
You’ll need to know your Large Format Print for this opportunity though, If you like selling off the shelf products, this isn’t for you. This is all about working a solution through with your client. You’re the expert in print, they will be leaning on you, your experience and the companies capabilities. They trust you so it’s important that you won’t be limited by what you can create for your clients and they have a fantastic operational team supporting the clients.
