Linux Systems Engineer - Brussels/Remote - Contract
Sentinel has partnered with one of Belgium's largest Telco carriers to find a Linux Systems Engineer to help them automate & optimise their complex infrastructure department.
They have a virtualised Kubernetes environment on private cloud (Openstack) with a variety of Redhat Linux systems being managed by a large team of systems engineers.
Our client has technical debt' when it comes to delivery of some vital projects. Examples include RH8 upgrades, virtual life cycle automation, & VMware automation.
They need a freelancer urgently to help them catch up.
In return, you will join a friendly remote team based in Belgium. Your job will be a mixture of project based work (RH8 upgrades for instance) and operational tasks to optimise the environment.
In short, you will get a lot of autonomy to perform tasks and take a central role within the organisation. You will gain heavy exposure to the latest DevOps technologies, so this could be a good way of transitioning into a full DevOps position.
You will have an expert knowledge in:
Redhat Linux Administration, Scripting, VMWare, Python.
We would welcome experience in:
Openstack, PostGres, Terraform, HP Synergy, IaaC, SCCM, DevOps
IMPORTANT: The client is 100% remote until at least September. However there are plans to return to the office for 1 - 2 days/week, so we can only consider applications from candidates in Belgium or able to relocate fully.
Competitive daily rate available for candidates able to start at short notice.
