Outside Sales Representative - Sealing Products

The Hope Group, A SunSource Company, is seeking a self-motivated outside sales professional with experience selling sealing products including O-Rings, Hydraulic Seals, Extrusions, Metal Seals, Rubber Bonded-to-Metal seals and PTFE seal products. The ideal candidate will possess career experience cultivating and maintain customer relationships in selling solutions to the General Industrial, Semiconductor, Life Science and Military/Aerospace markets.

The sales territory is Southeastern Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.

Required functions:

  • Strategize and execute a weekly sales schedule among current and new accounts.
  • Create a sales plan with goals and objectives coordinated and approved by management.
  • Coordinate sales efforts between Inside Sales, Outside Sales, and Vendor Contacts.
  • Continually utilize CRM for monitoring and tracking all sales efforts on a daily basis.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to follow-up all leads provided.
  • Work in Partnership with Inside Sales Associates to provide customers with full product lines.
  • Participate in Vendor training sessions as required for product knowledge and expansion.
  • Deliver vendor onsite training at customers to expand customer product knowledge.
  • Promote all The Hope Group product lines to all customers to expand customer product base.
  • Create and close business opportunities and all customers large, small and in-between.
  • Promote products specific to markets, i.e. Life Science, Military/Aerospace and Semicon.
  • Work closely with all vendor sales representatives to promote their products and services.

Minimum Position Requirements:

  • Prefer Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 3-5 years TECHNICAL field sales experience preferred.
  • 2-4 years selling seal products from multiple manufacturers.
  • 2-4 years field sales travelling a specified territory calling on all in all markets within.
  • 2-4 years coordinating sales efforts between inside sales, customers and vendors.
  • 2-4 years of total territory management and responsibility for all sales and marketing efforts.
  • Self-motivated, driven, a team player, strong communication skills and attention to details are a must.
  • Must have and maintain clean driving record and ability to successfully pass a background check.
