Working on a mixture of Technical IT and Infrastructure projects as well as Business Change projects you will need to be a good all-rounder.

FSB is currently undergoing a digital transformation programme and reviewing the technology in all areas of our business, so there is an exciting variety of projects you will be working on such as Web applications, security, SaaS & data integrations, Business Intelligence, data warehousing and mobile applications. Joining a well-established development team located in Blackpool, you will contribute to FSB's transformation journey. You will be involved in all stages of projects, helping to shape and innovate solutions for business problems. This role is usually based in our Blackpool Office, however we are open to discussing flexible working and so invite applications from across the North West

In this role, you'll be responsible for the successful delivery of projects and the effective allocation of resources within those projects. You will be required to define the project delivery scope supporting the businesses objectives amongst the Portfolio of Programmes and Projects of the IT and Change team.

You will be required to plan, schedule and track project timelines and milestones using the appropriate tools. In addition to this you will be managing relationships with project sponsors and stakeholders, continually managing expectations. As a Project Manager, you will proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues and devise appropriate contingency plans.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • PRINCE2 accreditation or equivalent professional Project Management qualification
  • Degree or equivalent organisational experience
  • A strong track record of successful project delivery
  • Experience developing project plans and associated documentation
  • Management of suppliers and other third parties
  • Ability to influence and negotiate up to Director Level
  • Experience of procurement with third party suppliers
  • Very strong interpersonal skills
  • A good team ethic
