Titan Recruitment are proud to be supporting our growing Freight Forwarder client based in Lichfield, to recruit for an experienced Business Development Manager. This is an exciting time to join this inclusive and collaborative company, where the position has arisen due to continued growth and success.

As the Business Development Manager, your main purpose within the company is to handle all new business enquiries and to build upon, and grow new accounts in line with the business objectives. You will take responsibility for the entire sales process from intelligence gathering, dealing with incoming prospects through to negotiating, securing and account managing for the initial 12 month period of a new clients journey with the client.

In order to be considered for the role of Business Development Manager, you will always have at least 2 years’ experience in the freight industry within a sales and market development role. You will have a proven track record of generating sales from market research and business development, along with providing excellent levels of customer service.

Your daily responsibilities and duties will include, but not be limited to:

* Generation of new sales

* Respond to incoming enquiries from the company website, referrals, phone and email

* Source own business leads and act on those provided by Sales and Operations colleagues

* Identify sales opportunities and profile new business to understand intricately how they can be supported with freight and customs

* Effectively present key features of the company services to secure new business

* Gather and document information of new clients and input these in to the company CRM

* Ensure CRM is kept up-to-date with all relevant notes, scheduled follow up dates and market information

* Take orders and arrange for relevant Freight Account Manager to make contact

In return for the above, the successful Business Development Manager will be rewarded with a competitive salary of £35,000 with an annual bonus based on company performance. You will be part of a collaborative and inclusive work culture with a forward thinking Freight Forwarder. There are incentives each month for when targets are hit, and the company truly values the input of their employees.

The ideal candidate will:

* Strong IT and administrative skills

* Good overall knowledge of European/UK/ Global freight industry

* Have the ability to build rapport with people easily and quickly

* Have excellent communication skills

* Be self-motivated with the drive to succeed to meet your allocated targets
