Job title: Commercial Lead - Sustainability
Location: Flexible across the UK
An international consultancy is looking to appoint a commercially focused sustainability candidate to join their team, playing a pivotal role in the expansion of the sustainability team's services.
You will have a strong technical background in sustainability, ideally within corporate sustainability, most likely having transitioned into a position with more of a commercial focus. You will have strong commercial acumen, with proven experience successfully managing the sales process with corporate clients. You will be a natural relationship builder, motivated by closing business and maximising commercial opportunities.
About the role:
The role will likely be 70% business development, and 30% technical delivery, although the organisation is also very open to a candidate who wants to focus 100% on business development. Reporting to the head of department, you will be responsible for identifying and converting commercial opportunities within sustainability, primarily with the organisation's extensive, existing client portfolio, across the UK and internationally. You will work with the wider non-technical internal business development and sales professionals, to provide technical expertise to tenders and proposals for sustainability projects.
