For more than 200 years, our global Financial Services Client has been helping people around the world connect with what matters most to them. The company is one of the world's leading financial institutions, serving individual consumers, small and middle-market businesses and large corporations with a full range of banking, investing, asset management and other financial and risk management products and services.
Part of our global team based in Dublin within the Risk department of the bank; Our Client require a Database Modeller/Developer to assist with Database application development through all development phases through to application
The Candidate will also be able to help with interfacing with other teams who use different development applications and backgrounds who reach out for level 1/level 2 analysis so the successful candidates needs to be able to handle complex problems and be able to troubleshoot/solve.
5-10 years of relevant IT database modelling and development experience
Database application development (python, Shell, Perl) with experience on DB2 & columnar database technologies preferred.
Data modelling on normalized and reporting platforms. Experience on data modelling tools a plus.
Performance tuning and database workload optimization with strong troubleshooting skills and level 2 to level 3 problem solving for production performance bottlenecks
Capacity planning and estimation.
Knowledge of 1 or more of the following:
-Large, complex data sets
