Our client are one of Britain's fastest growing multi-channel retailers of tools, accessories and building supplies. HQ is based in Bridgwater, Somerset right next to the M5 junction but your role will be covering the South West from Penzance to Somerset so optimally be good if you were based around Exeter way but flexible on this.

They are looking for a commercially aware Regional Manager and you will be covering around 20 plus stores so a lot of travel around the region from Penzance to Somerset. Your priorities are 1. Increasing Sales 2. Operational management ie product promotion and push, commercial, organisation, shop floor, Customer engagement etc and 3. Most importantly people management so developing staff, making them feel valued/communicating. Competitive salary plus up to 20% bonus and company car.

What you'll do

From ensuring stores are profitable to promoting individual performance to listening to customer feedback; it all comes down to the people. You'll be joining a rapidly expanding company with new stores opening on a monthly basis. You will be responsible for driving your region to success, identifying new opportunities and delivering business objectives to continue the success of the business.


Motivating. Leading and motivating your team in an environment that is fun will create a region that is a great place to work. Acting as an inspirational leader you will encourage others towards success and utilise their unique skills so that the company continues to be a place to build their career.

Collaborating. From sharing new ideas and best practice to improve footfall and sales, to covering other regions in times of absence to working with other departments such as Recruiting, collaboration is key to ensure smooth running of your region.

Managing. Effectively manage stores to deliver top line results and profitability. Maintain consistency and compliance of all operating procedures in store including health and safety, security, cash, stock integrity and shop floor and warehouse presentation.

Developing. Engage your team at all levels to create an environment where staff development takes place, any training needs or developmental issues are identified and resolved and ensure that PDPs are tailored to ensure retention within the business.

What you'll bring

Leadership. You inspire those around you, leading, motivating and creating an environment where engagement is key. Encourage and drive your team towards success and champion operational changes to drive the business towards success.

Experience. You know the ins and outs of managing in a multi-site retail environment such as experience in employment law, profit and loss accountability, stock management and recruitment. Previous exposure to the Trade Industry is desirable, but not a necessity.

Communication. As an exceptional communicator you are comfortable adapting your style when speaking to everyone from Store Assistants to Board Directors to members of the public in order to create positive engagement, no matter the subject.

Drive and Passion. You will be fundamental in ensuring that the company is a great place to work. Your energy and passion for wanting to see individuals and the business succeed will be at the heart of what you do.
