Procurement Buyer (IT service)


The candidate will be expected to manage procurement tenders (end-to-end)
In this role you will be responsible for providing a quality procurement service

About the role:



  • Managing a programme of mini-tenders consisting of at least 10 mini-tenders

  • Liaising with contract managers for mini tenders

  • Managing the mini-tender projects to ensure that the procurement phases are completed

  • Reviewing procurement documentation

  • Managing all communication between the contract manager, evaluation team and tenderers using E-Tenders

  • Managing the commercial/technical evaluation of tenders

  • Preparing the tender evaluation reports

  • Assist and review the preparation of internal approval documents

  • Ensuring that award and regret letters are properly prepared

  • Negotiating and agreeing final project agreements

  • Consultation with Legal, as required


About you:



  • A Qualification in Procurement

  • Procurement experience in a large semi-state or similar public body

  • Knowledge of running procurement projects under the Utilities Directive or Public Procurement Directive

  • Experience of running mini-tender competitions

  • Knowledge and experience of multiple systems
