Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Charity based in Warwick, Salary circa £48,000 - £58,000 per annum dependent on experience.

The Charity is the primary local charity for people living with sight loss in Warwickshire. We offer a holistic service from the point of diagnosis, through visual impairment rehabilitation to long term social support to ensure that any person with a visual impairment gets the support they need, when they need it.

We are looking for an experienced and proactive CEO who can embrace this role within the Charity, leading the organisation with responsibility for operations, finance, quality and strategy. The purpose of the role is to lead and further develop the Charity, providing statutory rehabilitation and voluntary support services to visually impaired people in Warwickshire.
This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with occasional weekend and evening work. A part-time position will also be considered.
You will be entitled to the following package:
23 days annual leave (increasing to 25 days after 4 years’ service) plus an additional 2 days at Christmas, and 8 bank holidays.

CEO Main Duties (non-exhaustive list):
Ensuring that the Charity achieves its missions for blind and partially sighted people, through inspiring leadership and a collaborative approach.
Ensuring that the Charity meets the requirements of contracts, grants and other agreements that have been entered into.
Ensuring that the Charity has the resources to function, developing opportunities from diverse income streams.
Building an effective working relationship with the Board of Trustees.
Preparing an annual operational plan/business plan and annual budget for approval by the Board of Trustees.
Ensuring that all contracts held by the Charity are managed, monitored, evaluated and reported as required, ensuring that contractual obligations are met by all parties.
Operating within the annual budget; providing regular reports on income, expenditure and annual forecasts to the Board of Trustees.
Developing and maintain productive working relationships with national, regional and local charities, public sector organisations and other bodies.
Leading the promotion of the Charity and the voluntary sector to members and the community at every opportunity.
Representing the rights of visually impaired people regarding equality of access to services and the environment.
Recruiting, supervising, managing, and training staff, delegating responsibilities to staff members as appropriate, including employees who are home based and officed based working.
Carrying out such tasks and duties from time to time as are required by the Charity’s Board of Trustees.
CEO Necessary Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
Previous experience in a Senior role, in management or organisational leadership, is essential.
Previous experience within the Voluntary sector is desirable.
Previous experience in setting and managing budgets is essential.
Experience using a CRM system is essential (the Charity use Charitylog which is desirable).
High level of self-motivation with the ability to exercise professional judgement.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to balance conflicting priorities.
Ability to delegate responsibilities to staff members.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with proven success in influencing and negotiating at all levels.
IT literate and experienced with the Microsoft Office Suite including, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook.
Willingness and ability to adopt a flexible approach to accommodate the demands of a senior role.
