A multi modal office - dealing with imports and exports via road, sea, air, and courier. The main area of focus right now is on the European movements, one of their major clients is a large Multi-National Food and Drinks company and the shipments have increased this year massively. An office of 6 people, 1 of 14 branches throughout the UK and are one of the largest Independent Freight Forwarders in the UK.
The Freight Forwarder will help with the bookings, forwarding processes and customs paperwork for the European movements helping the department to grow, progress and increase profitability.
The freight process from booking the collections, dealing with the customs declarations, through to delivery on European short sea and road movements.
The Freight Forwarder will help other departments for sickness and holiday cover if required and will be trained on the in-house freight platform.Candidate Requirements:
Someone with freight forwarding experience who has dealt with paperwork.
A knowledge of Incoterms, commodity codes and customs processes and paperwork are needed.
Paperwork requirements post Brexit.
Knowledge of what is required to pass on clearance instructions to the team is essential.
A good team fit, outgoing, proactive person who is not afraid of hard work.Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm
Salary: £18,000 - £20,000 per annum
