Technical Risk & Compliance Manager (Fishery & Seafood Industry)

UK / Ireland - Remote working

RS Standards has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Risk & Compliance expert. We are seeking an experienced and technically minded consultant to join the management team of our dynamic international standards and consulting organisation. The role will involve servicing clients and projects opportunities in Ireland, UK, Europe, North and South America and Asia.

RS Standards is at the forefront of supply chain integrity standards, development and improvement frameworks and is leading initiatives in sustainability, fisheries management, fishing and supply chain standards internationally with leading organisations.

As part of this role the successful candidate will play a key leadership role within the team, acting as the primary interface with designated clients on consultation projects of significant scale and will be reporting to the RS Standards Operations Director.

Key responsibilities will include; client management services, project management, stakeholder engagement, interpretation and collation of sector information, together with standard innovation and design.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills and an accomplished understanding of fishery and seafood standards and a proven track record in the ability to assimilate and analyse new information diligently and prepare accurate reports for clients.

This is a global role so international travel will be required and the successful candidate may work from home. We are seeking someone preferably based in UK or Ireland but other locations would be considered.

The ideal candidate will have strong presentation skills which will enable them to clearly present solutions to clients..

• Degree (ideally in an environmental science related discipline)

• At least 5 years in a similar role

• Ability to work under own initiative and prioritize tasks.

• An understanding of environmental Standards, assurance initiatives and accreditations

• An interest in global retailer supply chain management and sustainability issues

• High computer literacy not necessarily through formal training.

• Proven organisational and communication skills

• Ability to drive and travel internationally
