Credit Risk Analyst
Based in Wolverhampton
Monday to Thursday - 9.00am till 5.30pm (5pm finish on Fridays)
£19,000 - £23,000 per annum (Purely dependant on experience)
Temporary to permanent contract

My client based in Wolverhampton are looking for an EXPERIENCED 'Credit Risk Analyst' to join in their growing success! Experience is required for this role and direct knowledge of the end to end journey of credit risk.
Complex training will be provided.
Undertake quality credit risk assessments, within agreed service levels, as necessary and ensuring completion on a timely basis
Applications to be assessed in line with company scorecard, LOA's, and insurance policies in place
Utilise credit reference agencies to help formulate a decision via our internal scorecard
Perform consumer and commercial credit checks, and AML checks, and interpret and understand the results
Find solutions wherever possible to maximise loss mitigation. Where risk of loss is considered likely, undertake necessary actions to minimise potential loss as appropriate
Using Cifas (training will be given) and other fraud prevention tools to assist with fraud prevention and reporting
This role also requires for a high level of customer service to be provided at all times when dealing with potential or existing customers.Role Essentials
A good understanding of credit risk management techniques and ability to apply these independently, including knowledge of financial statement analysis
Excellent verbal and written communication skills the ability to convey complex or difficult messages in a clear and concise manner
Ability to prioritise tasks and work well under strict timelines whilst maintaining strong attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word
Ability to work calmly under pressure, demonstrate initiative and confidentiality
Good understanding of Maths
Willing to undertake BPSS and Disclosure Scotland security checksRole Desirables
An advanced understanding of financial statement and ratio analysis
To hold CICM qualifications or be a member of the CICM
