The Trumbull County Board of Developmental Disabilities has an excellent opportunity for a HUMAN RESOURCE DIRECTOR in its program. Ideal candidate will serve as the organizational leader responsible to oversee the Board's human resource functions. Responsibilities include all aspects of recruitment; benefits administration, including workers' compensation, health insurance, unemployment compensation, and employee leave and assistance programs; employee training and development; employee evaluation systems; and the Board's human resource information system. This leadership member plays a key role in assisting the Superintendent with collective bargaining, contract administration and labor relations; investigations; policy and procedure development; federal, state, and local law compliance related to public employment; and collaborates with leadership members related to human resource matters in their assigned areas of responsibility. Will be required to attend trainings in order to keep the Board at the forefront of employment law changes, especially within the DD system; and will serve on Board committees and represent the Board's human resource interest at the regional and state level. Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources/Labor Relations or related field. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with certification in Human Resources from the Society for Human Resource Management/Human Resource Certification Institute or a Master's Degree preferred. Minimum of five (5) years' experience in field of personnel/human resources. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to employment and labor relations, especially within the field of developmental disabilities.
