Paralegal Residential Property Support required for our leading legal client in Clacton to join their residential property team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who possess some legal experience as either secretary, legal assistant or paralegal gained within residential property seeking a new opportunity to really progress with career in law in this role as Paralegal residential property support. In your role as Paralegal Residential Property Support you will be willing to go the extra mile, and already used to supporting a very busy individual lawyer and/or a wider team.

The Role

* Assist in the provision of administrative and legal services for client, including sales, purchases, lease extensions, re-mortgages and transfers of equity

* Assist when requested with the provision of legal advice to clients, under supervision and to take notes in client meetings

* Attend clients both in the office, at care homes or in their homes as necessary

* Provide friendly day to day contact with clients and referrers and other professionals involved in the conveyancing process

* Draft letters, statutory declarations, statements of truth, sale contracts, land registry applications and other documents as required

* Legal research into topical issues

* Assisting with the sourcing and maintaining of insurance policies

* Managing paper and digital filing

The Person

* Must possess some paralegal experience

* Have a genuine passion for legal work and to progress in your career as a Paralegal

* Ideally have proven experience in residential property/conveyancing

* Effectively prioritise and have excellent organisation skills for a fast-paced workload with tight deadlines

* Possess legal experience either as a secretary, legal assistant and/or paralegal

* Comfortable working on your own initiative

* Strong Microsoft skills particularly Word and Excel Excellent oral and written communication

* Excellent interpersonal skills

* Have a flexible and proactive with a ‘can do’ attitude

* Demonstrate a pro-active approach to your work and successful business development

* An ability to work with figures

* Hold the respect and confidence of your colleagues and clients

Benefits to you

* Salary £21-£26k dependent on experience and ability.
