This superb, full time role for Project/Delivery Manager is responsible for management of software/applications based projects throughout their full life cycle - this includes de ning/using the project methodology, risk assessment, project governance and documentation.

You will engage with customers, prospective customers, vendors and other key stakeholders to ensure that roles & responsibilities, project risks and project trackers are updated, communicated and any breach of tolerances are escalated as appropriate.

ROLE:



  • Accountable for the implementation and continuous improvement of the Project Management for our client - including the adoption of PMO and Agile approaches

  • Lead internal and external project meetings including post implementation reviews

  • Ensure the smooth transition of projects from pre-sales into deployment and support, ensuring that customer satisfaction regarding project delivery remains at or above target

  • Help drive the implementation of Agile/PMO processes

  • Actively managing risks and issues, liaising with customers and teams to achieve positive outcomes

  • Ensuring that all ISO and data protection policies are followed, and risks escalated as appropriate

  • Adherence to all policies and procedures


IDEAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Delivery Manager/Project Manager with Software background

  • Ideally experience performing a similar software delivery/implementation role

  • Ideally experience managing software delivery/software implementation

  • Good level of planning as will be building plans and project managing the milestones of software delivery through to implementation

  • Will be interacting with external customers strong communication skills essential - will be scheduling releases, testing support and rolling out with the customer

  • PMO experience desirable

  • Transitioning all their applications over to the Cloud within the next 2 years so experience of Azure, Micro services etc would be desirable

  • AGILE with some Waterfall so a blend of both is preferred

  • Proven project management track record in successfully implementing projects for sometimes complex, mission-critical applications on modern architecture

  • Experience of effectively using a recognised project management methodology, including setting the relevant governance to control the project and actively manage RAID throughout the project life cycle

  • Ability to focus the project team on what is most important to the delivery of products and services

  • Demonstrable experience of continuous improvement of the project team

  • Proactively manage dependencies, overcome obstacles, and get the best value against constraints

  • Good influencing skills, including the ability to convince colleagues and senior stakeholder, and the credibility to promote solutions to prospective customers

  • Relentless commitment to delivering the best possible outcomes for our customers whilst never compromising values and ethical business practices

  • Experience working in a commercial environment where products and services are delivered to external customers

  • Experience of working to deliver projects in a Microsoft Azure highly desirable
