We are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Technician to join our Forticrete Thornley site near Shotton Colliery.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Acting as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance and quality.
Developing quality effective systems with production / operations / manufacturing and technical teams.
Test manufactured products to required standards and maintain/improve records.
Investigating complaints to determine route causes.
Providing technical support to internal departments where necessary.
Recording, analysing and distributing statistical information.
Support the achievement of Third Party Accreditation and certification to ISO 9001/BSI kite marks.
Manage and maintain the customer sampling procedure in conjunction with customer services.
Create a quality training schedule and roll out to all relevant operatives.
Identify, document, and report any quality problems to SHEQ co-ordinator.
Perform random checks on all aspects of the pre-manufacture inspection process during and after production to meet quality requirements.
In conjunction with the SHEQ co-ordinator, benchmark, set and maintain quality standards for all products.
Maintain a safe work environment and follow all published/posted safety standards.
Ensuring that all Laboratory testing requirements and equipment used are maintained (calibrated) as required.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
Concrete Technology Qualifications
ILM Qualification desirable at Level 3
