Business Development Manager IT sales

Location: Field based role working remotely as well as from our offices in Maidenhead.

Salary range: £30,000 - £35,000 OTE c£50,000 plus Car allowance

Hi, I'm George, CEO at Orca services Technologies we are reimagining field service software from the ground up - uniquely evolving solutions from our experience of running field service teams ourselves!

We are a small Team currently working on getting the first full version of our platform implemented into our first (internal) Customer and then we will make this available to the wider world.

We are looking for a curious and energetic Business Development Manager to be a first and key hire into the commercial team.

Fast progression within the company is not promised - it is expected!


  • Planning your workload with the team to ensure we're covering all our targets markets.
  • Researching and generating leads for yourself and the senior management
  • NB we have a ban on "cold" calling - only "warm" calls lead to business (find out more during our interview process)
  • Given the opportunity to be involved in specific projects to support the business
  • Manage your time with the direction and support from the manager


  • Find and contact facilities services & stand-alone companies in certain target market areas
  • Review target markets and suggest new markets to move into
  • Conduct initial outreach as well keeping up to date records in our internal database

You will need:

  • To be passionate about software, technology and digital transformation
  • An excellent telephone manner
  • Excellent written communication
  • To be highly organised
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Lots of Energy, and be level-headed with success and with failure

You must have:

  • Degree - any discipline considered - IT would be advantageous.
  • Field sales Experience - this is not your 1st role from university - Bit it can be your 2 nd for sure.
