Responsibilities Venice Family Clinic is a community health center whose mission is 'To provide quality primary health care to people in need.' Venice Family Clinic cares for over 28,000 low-income patients in over 120,000 visits annually who might otherwise go without critically needed health care services. Venice Family Clinic has eleven clinical sites with over 350 staff, 1,700 volunteers, and a budget of $50 million. We provide high quality, comprehensive primary and specialty health care, dental, mental health, substance use treatment and child development services to underserved individuals and families on the Westside of Los Angeles. In this role, you will provide direct administrative, operational and technical support to the Deputy Director/Chief Operations Officer and under his/her direction, provides support to the Operations Department as a whole. You must be discreet and able to work with highly confidential information. Qualifications + 2 years experience as administrative assistant, project assistant or similar duties + Skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect the routine importance and job responsibilities + Skill in communicating in order to convey information to individuals at various organizational levels + Ability to organize requests for meeting rooms and set-ups for meetings and other gatherings working with various departments, units and individuals + Absolute discretion in handling confidential information + Ability to organize a variety of systems/procedures for increased efficiency of information flow and record maintenance + Skill in editing for spelling, punctuation, grammar and clarity and typing correct copy in a timely manner + Ability to handle details in a thorough and timely manner + Skill in verbal and written communication + Strong ability to maintain the integrity of confidential information. + Demonstrated skill in the use of PC computers. + Demonstrated knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat + Demonstrated skill in analyzing expenditures in order to identify any discrepancies or potential problems that are in conflict with VFC internal guidelines UCLA is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
