Manage team of 2 Accountants and 1 Senior Accounting Analyst.
Responsible for oversight of all financial functions of the Food Bank, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Grant Accounting, General Ledger Accounting, preparation of financial statements and Banking and Investments.
Develop, implement and maintain all financial policies and procedures.
Oversee and prepare budgeting and monthly reporting for government-funded programs.
Oversee annual financial audit process and prepare audit information for areas of responsibility.
Oversee the preparation of annual audit-format financial statements, Statement of Federal Expenditures and 990 reporting package. Oversee the preparation of information for annual letter to agencies of federal awards.
Oversee payroll processing and payroll taxes. Provide approval of bi-weekly payroll.
Manage inventory valuation processes and subledger reconciliations. Participate in the review of monthly and annual inventory counts. Work with inventory team to improve inventory processes.
Board & finance committee management
Oversee monthly bank, investment account and 401k account reconciliations and quarterly petty cash reconciliation, ensuring appropriate segregation of duties.
Manage the Food Bank's banking relationships. Direct the organization's banking by negotiating bank loans, lines of credit, etc.
Oversee review of contracts for entire organization. Maintain central file of contracts.
Assist the CEO in the preparation of the annual operating budget and strategic plan updates. Provide assistance to individual department heads in the preparation and maintenance of departmental operational budgets, consolidating these budgets and reviewing actual performance against budgeted performance. Prepare reports explaining budget deviations and overall financial performance.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
Seven plus years of experience leading an Accounting and/or Finance team with experience in inventory accounting required.
CPA or demonstrated up-to-date knowledge of the unique requirements in non-profit accounting is required.
Experience with reporting and audit requirements for federal funding is desired.
Advanced Excel Skills and proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Microsoft Office.
Excellent analytical skills and advanced skills in turning data into relevant and useful information based on understanding of the organization and its operations.
Technologically savvy and process-driven.

Demonstrated excellence in teamwork, working cross-functionally across and at different levels in the organization.
