Chief Financial Officer

Maintains computerized bookkeeping system using Ceres, a comprehensive business system software for food banks.
Provides timely and accurate financial statements.
Reconciles bank accounts in a timely manner.
Maintains bookkeeping records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practices and IRS guidelines.
Maintains fund balance accounts for restricted funds.
Maintains budgets and provides reports for President and CEO, Executive Team, Development Team, Grants Team, and Board Directors.
Serves as the liaison with all banks and vendors with Food Bank accounts.
Leads annual audit preparation efforts and works with CPA as directed.
Handles all financial reports for Government contracts such as:
TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program)
CSFP (Commodity Supplemental Food Program)
SFSP (Summer Food Supplemental Program)
TANF (Temporary Assistance to Needy Families)
Tracks related expenditures
Prepares and submits reimbursement requests
Leads audit preparations and assists during onsite audit
Ability to understand and complete payroll processing
Manages the Commercial and Directors and Officers Insurances needs of TFB serving as the liaison between TFB, applicable insurance companies and brokers
Other projects and duties as assigned
Must be a skilled professional with strong accounting background, prior experience managing financial resources; requires a strong working knowledge of accounting systems; financial planning and analysis, including budgeting cash flow and insurance management.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
CPA certification preferred or equivalent work experience in auditing or accounting
Excellent verbal, analytical, and written skills
Ability to adapt, work collaboratively, and problem solve in a dynamic, mission-driven environment
Demonstrated a commitment to servant leadership in prior roles
Be highly organized and detail-oriented
Be familiar with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and not-for-profit accounting
Possess supervisory skills
Be proficient in computer operation including Microsoft Office
Be able to work with a variety of people
Be a team player
Have excellent customer service skills
Be able to manage multiple tasks at once
Be sensitive to the needs of low-income people
Be knowledgeable of Human Resource rules and regulations
