With Financial Crime prevention, AML & Counter-Terrorism financing being a large focus of the bank as a whole, this has created a number of opportunities within their Risk Analytics & Data Science teams moving forward. In this role the company are looking to hire an established Data Scientist to help drive analytical projects to make the most out of the rich data available within the organisation. This role will also play a key part in contributing to wider Portfolio Management & Pricing by sharing bet practices and making sure the organisation is a fun place to work!


Job Description:



  • Drive analytical projects using industry-leading methods to make the most of the rich data available within the organisation

  • Monitor the performance of lending strategies, providing regular commentary and insights to stakeholders on performance against expectations, trends and emerging risk/opportunities

  • Respond to queries from stakeholders on matters relating to lending strategies or performance

  • Establish and maintain process knowledge, execute controls, proactively identify improvement areas and actively contribute to continuous improvement of processes

  • Collaborate with other teams to calculate full P&L impacts of a given origination treatment, or operational teams who may be required to amend processes in line with analytical findings

  • Support Department Heads and stakeholders with specialist knowledge and provide input to different development/improvement activities


What Is Needed In This Role:



  • University graduates a numerate subject with 3+ years of experience executing analytics in a similar environment

  • Skilled in an analytical programming framework, such as SAS, Python or R

  • Sound understanding of statistical techniques and their application to solving business problems

  • Willing and able to act as an agent of change in the organisation

  • Ability to communicate technical matters clearly to non-technical colleagues

  • Ability to develop and execute a program of activity to drive performance within a well-defined domain of activity

  • Ability to build and lead functional or cross-function teams to deliver on desired outcomes
