Apps IT are seeking a Desktop Support consultant
You will be required to provide support across multiple sites across Europe in both hardware and software related issues ranging from Microsoft office packages, Oracle related queries, Active Directory, telephony systems, network patching and fixes and more using Remedy. As part of the role you will also manage inventories of hardware in stock on Service Now, whilst also using the application for hardware acquisition as per users' requests.
You will also be involved with building, installation and management of the local infrastructure including Servers, telephone systems, Access points and more.
You will liaise with other teams in various locations and time zones like teams in US, India, France and so on. Occasionally, Sometimes you will be required to contact suppliers such as Dell, Vodafone, and Eir to fix issues related to hardware and networking.
This is a part time role, the client needs 16 hours of assistance per week on an ongoing rolling contract perspective.
