Immediate start for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our client, an established accountancy practice in Gray’s, Essex. It is an ideal role for someone who seeks a full payroll position.

Your key responsibility will be to manage and control c.300 payrolls which will include processing weekly and monthly pay. As the main payroll person, you will be responsible for all aspects of payroll.

Key Duties and responsibilities of the Payroll Administrator

* Liaising with existing and setting up new clients

* Adding new employees and updating leavers

* Carrying out CIS management and returns

* Processing bonuses and adjustments

* Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients

* Preparing year end P35s and P60s

* Liaising with salary software supplier

* Issue PAYE liabilities and reports

* Looking after all aspects of the Pensions including regulations

* All aspects of pay and pension

* Managing all statutory communications and returns

Key Skills and experience of the Payroll Administrator

Our client seeks a hands-on accounts assistant who is already experienced in the workings of busy accounts office, yet happy to take on new tasks and processes with training and support.

* Numerate

* Ideally 5 years Payroll experience but not essential

* Knowledge of Pensions and systems including NEST and Smart Pensions

* Flexible and able to work as part of a team

* Good communication skills

* Highly organised

* Strong CIS experience
