We are a nationwide Business Services Provider are looking for a talented Area Sales Manager to join our rapidly expanding team in the North West. Responsible for building a pipeline and generating new opportunities to drive the business forward, this is an exciting opportunity to work for a well-established and successful organisation with a nationwide presence.
This is a Monday-Friday home-based role with regular travel to our Manchester and Liverpool offices
The Role as Area Sales Manager
You will be responsible for planning and executing a range of activities to help ensure that individual centres are profitable and successful. By generating new business and networking with relevant stakeholders you will help to drive the business forward, with a particular focus on high-priority centres.
Area Sales Manager Responsibilities will include:
Approaching local businesses to promote the service, and prospecting for new opportunities
Understanding exactly how much new business is required for each centre at any time
Researching target organisations and following current and new markets, leads and customers.
Preparing reports and data to summarise activities being carried out and demonstrate KPIs and targets
Building creative and innovative strategies to generate future sales
Conducting analysis of competitors in order to improve target centres
Conducting viewings of the centres and converting those viewings into sales
Developing and maintaining fruitful relationships with brokers and commercial agents
Achieve regional sales financial targets by forecasting requirements, preparing annual budgets and expenditures, analysing available data and acting upon it to produce meaningful commercial results.
Attending networking events to promote the brand and generate new leads.
As Area Sales Manager, you will need:
A passion for sales and a hunger to achieve targets
Willingness to travel regularly between Manchester and Liverpool
Several years of B2B selling experience meeting sales targets
A demonstrable track record of lead-generation, lead conversion and generating new business
Experience in budgeting P&L, forecasting accurately, and delivering yield
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, with multiple competing deadlines
Exceptional skills in building relationships and rapport, with great negotiation and influencing abilities, ability to manage and retain existing clients
Great planning and organising skills, with an efficient mindset
Excellent communication abilities
A positive and pro-active attitude
