Ben Johnson Recruitment are recruiting for a Payroll Manager for W Boyes and Co Ltd; an expanding organisation on the East Coast. With a head office based in Scarborough and 68 stores across Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Nottingham; this family run retail business has gone from strength to strength in the last few years and is well regarded throughout the region.
They are now seeking a driven Payroll Manager who will have will have responsibility for a sizeable hourly and monthly paid payroll end to end across multiple locations. The role reports to the Head of Finance, and works closely with the Finance Director.
You will be responsible for but not to limited to:
Line Management of Payroll Administrator
Responsible for the accurate and timely payment of around 1700 employees over 70 sites and 180 pensioners using a combined HR/Payroll system.
Keeping up to date with relevant industry changes
Working with key stakeholders to continually improve payroll processes
Ensuring the company is legally compliant with all relevant payroll and pension regulations and company policies.
Running Month End and Year End payroll processes.
Completing Monthly, Quarterly and Annual statistics returns for ONS.
Managing the workplace pension schemes, reconciliations, reporting and arrange payments to pension providers.
Preparing annual staff costs budgets.
Advising and training any staff involved with payroll.
Working with the HR and Finance teams to provide information and reports as required.
Handling any payroll/pension queries and advice as necessary.
Liaising with external auditors.
Overseeing the computerised HR/Payroll system and liaise with the software provider, the IT department and all users to ensure payroll system upgrades are implemented and any technical problems are resolved.
Working with the Finance Director on payroll and pension projects and drive the required changesW Boyes and Co Ltd are looking for an individual who is either CIPP qualified or interested in working towards a recognised Payroll qualification.
