We are set to open the UK's largest multi polymer plastic recycling plant in Avonmouth near Bristol and reaching the final phases of recruitment. We are now looking for a Quality Supervisor to complete our newly formed Quality team in readiness to start comissioning. This role is initially offered on a Monday to Friday basis but will move to on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, to include nights once commissioning starts.
Our new world class facility is expected to process 81,000 tonnes of PET, HDPE and PP plastic bottles, pots, tubs and trays in its first year of operation, rising to 89,000 tonnes in year three. This will produce 60,000 tonnes of recycled plastic in year one, rising to 63,000 tonnes in year three.
Working within the Quality team, our Quality Supervisors will manage the continuous sampling and analysis of polymer samples from various stages of the recycling process to ensure that the quality of materials entering the facility as well as the final product are compliant and meet the required standard.
Whilst leading the Quality team members, this role will ensure the efficient, 24/7 operation of the laboratories. This will involve making sure that methods are fit for lab purpose, equipment is maintained and that the team has the tools and consumables required to perform their roles safely and effectively
We would encourage applications from candidates who have a thorough understanding of Health and Safety in the workplace, as well as knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and laboratory quality systems.
Candidates for this role must be degree qualified in a relevant scientific / engineering subject or working towards an equivalent. The ability to communicate at all levels is essential to this role, as well as being able to work to tight time frames with consistent attention to detail.
