The Role

The role is to identify, develop and achieve the required annual sales order target and revenue target by identifying, developing and closing new sales opportunities for the company products and services in the nominated target markets.

Required Experience:

· Minimum 5 consecutive years in industry with experience in wide-area network direct sales, in Europe.

· Experience in sales of fixed-line terrestrial networks and managed services.

· Proven sales history in major corporate account sales (£0.5m+ deals), ideally within complex solution sales.

· Trained in established sales methodology.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

· Create/identify and win/close new opportunities/customers/business.

· Develop and build a qualified pipeline by identifying new prospects, developing initial contacts, securing meetings, qualifying likelihood of customer action and the Companys chance of success, following up and building the customer relationship, driving progress through their buying process, and closing contracts.

· Understand the customers business and technical challenges and be able to communicate these back internally to get internal support and map that into solutions.

· Understand and communicate how the company solution being offered will benefit the customers business more than those our competitors offering.

· Gather and document relevant information about potential customers, their organisation, background, current business, future plans and objectives.

· Maintain and execute an ongoing written sales plan, covering existing accounts and new prospects within the nominated target markets.

· Develop multi-level contact, high and wide, within target organisations, including to C-Level.

· Develop relationship with accounts into preferred or exclusive supplier status.

· Co-ordinate in a timely fashion all activities within the bid process, motivating and managing the virtual team to deliver proposals that meet customers expectations.

· Review of all bids before bid review with the VP, Sales & Marketing, including ensuring that you have intelligence about why proposed prices and terms are the most favourable that can be achieved.
