Business Development Manager
Posted on Apr 8, 2021 by CV-Library
Norse Group deliver a diverse portfolio of services across the UK, operating a number of joint venture and commercial partnerships within the public and private sector to provide expert facilities management, property and care services.
We operate a successful and growing partnership with Havant Borough Council, providing specialist services across trade waste and facilities management. The joint venture requires more support to continue developing their services across Havant and the Hampshire region whilst identifying new opportunities to strengthen their portfolio.
To support this ambition, we are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager, covering the Hampshire region. You will pro-actively identify and pursue new business opportunities, leading on client engagement, customer relationships, sales proposals and tender opportunities to maximise growth potential. This will include developing our existing partnerships in line with our multi-faceted approach to service delivery, challenging your client relationship and negotiation skills.
You will benefit from our collaborative approach to sales, being supported by our local operational teams and our central sales and marketing function to develop winning solutions for tenders and proposals, whilst having the overall responsibility of improving client engagement, lead generation and marketing activities to deliver your sales target.
Our Successful Candidate:
We are looking for a professional sales person with a proven track record of success in a commercial sales environment. Whilst it would be beneficial if you have experience across the facilities management sector, this is not essential.
Our flexible approach will give you the autonomy to work in accordance with your diary, with a combination of working at our local office to build relationships with internal stakeholders, being mobile to engage with clients, and working from home.
Support, training and development opportunities will be provided to ensure you understand our business and ways of working, and to ensure you are able to make an immediate impact we are looking for;
* Proven sales experience and target delivery
* Excellent business acumen, with a proactive approach to identifying and securing new business opportunities
* A confident, consultative sales approach
* Proven account management experience
* Ability to self-generate leads through cold calling, networking and events
* Articulate communication skills, confident engaging at all levels with the ability to inform, persuade and influence
* Experience creating engaging sales proposals and presentations that will influence various stakeholders.
* Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
* Excellent commercial awareness, identifying market trends and customer insight
* Attention to detail, with excellent organisational skills in a target driven environment
* Experience with profit and loss accounts and budgets setting
* A passion to succeed, owning your personal development plan and career path within the organisation.
Our client base is growing across the region, and to ensure you can engage with clients you will need to hold a Full UK Driving Licence to be considered for the position
