Solutions Architect - Geneva

Skills and Experience:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Science or other closely relate field or equivalent by experience.
  • At least 12 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in managing projects and teams, including internal staff and external contractors, to deliver complex software products.
  • Experience in project management - Agile and/or Prince2.
  • Experience in Solution, Technical, Integration and/or Security architecture and methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience in at least 5 of the following technical areas:
    • Core AWS services, Cloud Formation, monitoring and alerts in the cloud
    • Java, Spring Boot, JEE, JPA, EJB, JSF
    • Datamodelling, processing, ETL and migration
    • BI, AI, NLP
    • UX/UI, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
    • Angular
    • SSO, SAML, Open ID Connect
    • SOLR, Elastic Search
    • PHP, Drupal
    • CMS, ERP, CRM
  • Experience or training in at least three of the following:
    • ITIL or another service management framework
    • PRINCE2 or another project management framework
    • Agile methodologies
    • CMMI
    • TOGAF
    • COBIT
    • Business continuity practices and/or ISO Quality Management Standards

Description of work:

  • Provide technical leadership and oversee planning, design, implementation and support of a wide range of varied and complex business software systems throughout their project life cycle, including testing, integration, security, scalability and maintenance operations.
  • Accountable for technical integrity of all projects, ensure viability of approach, optimal quality and realistic costing for design and development, availability of resources and swift resolution of conflicts in terms of supply prioritization and supplier requirements.
  • Lead, plan and control the work, ensuring effective management, appropriate sourcing and efficient use of all financial and other resources.
  • Design and implements strategies for development, support and maintenance of all the systems, taking into account extensive coordination required, the diverse needs of users and based on best practice development principles such as DevSecOps.
  • Develop and implement strategies for systematic change management, involving presentation of the business case to stakeholders and monitoring and managing resistance, dependencies and risks.
