Senior Backend Engineer (C# .net) - REMOTE

Responsibilities

• Define a monitoring and alerting strategy for the whole Synergy platform


• Investigate and resolve code and DB level performance issues, feeding back findings and resolutions to the entire team


• Implement a load testing strategy for all APIs


• Pro-actively review existing code patterns, suggest and implement improvements


• Review database schemas and indexing strategies. Suggest improvements and optimizations


• Investigate and implement caching in APIs


• Investigate and implement application/DB level scale-out strategies, including working towards a hybrid cloud solution

Requirements

• Experience work with and performance tuning high volume databases


• Advanced C# skills (latest version with a preference to .NET Core)


• Extensive software engineering background - 10 years experience or more


• Design patterns


• Ability to define and drive software architecture


• Good communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision


• A strong sense of ownership and self-leadership

Bonus Skills:

• MongoDB or other NoSql technology


• Docker


• Kubernetes or other container orchestration technologies


• Performance profiling and tuning high throughput applications


• Previous experience leading a team


• Complex problem-solving skills


• Experience working in a remote environment
