SOFTWARE Support Engineer - NOTTINGHAM/£35 - £40K + 15% BONUS


An excellent opportunity has arisen within a global, field leading client of ours currently looking to hire a Software Support Specialist who will assist clients in achieving self-sustainability with our proprietary software, and manage all activities (functional, technical and administrative) with our clients.

What you'll learn & achieve

  • Work as part of the global team to support our Materials & Supply Chain Business Unit
  • Accountable for multiple clients and support them achieve self-sustainability with our proprietary software
  • Self-assign, troubleshoot and resolve day to day client issues, including functional support, anomaly diagnosis and resolution, system installs, upgrades and migrations
  • Acts as the designated account representative for clients transitioned from implementation phase to maintenance support.
  • Take ownership of incidents, manage all activities (functional, technical and administrative) with client.
  • Build rapport with customers and solve day-to-day client issues, this involves functional support, anomaly diagnosis and resolution, and all requests from the client.
  • This role assists Software Support Specialists with more technical or complex issues.

What makes you a great fit:

  • Experience supporting clients with process and troubleshooting data issues, as well as troubleshooting hardware and other server related software that our program uses.
  • Debugging, problem solving, and configuring our proprietary software, and manage activities (functional, technical and administrative)
  • Proficiency with SQL to be able to write advance queries (joins, inner joins, delete, insert, etc), XML, MS Office Suite, and basic server setup.
  • Ability to learn new technologies while maintaining high levels of performance in an ambiguous, high-pressure environment
  • Ability to build relationships with interdependent roles/employees within internal teams
  • Experience working to effectively troubleshoot, and problem solve. This includes being able to work independently to analyse the situation, identify obstacles, obtain key pieces of information, and apply knowledge gained to rectify situations and gain mutual resolution.
