Our client are one of Britain's fastest growing multi-channel retailers of DIY products and building supplies. Based in Bridgwater, Somerset right next to the M5 junction and commutable from Bristol or Exeter they are growing and need additional skilled and enthusiastic PHP Laravel Developers to join their expanding Software Development Team. This is a remotely based role with the option to travel to Bridgwater very occasionally and if youre the right person for the role that is very flexible and can be fully remote.

Salary is negotiable Dependent on the level of your experience as they are looking for a number of developers and would be in a range to c£50K - whats important is they get the right technical and people skills.

Skills

Technical Expertise - Ideally you'll have proven knowledge and experience of PHP, Laravel, PHPUnit, JavaScript (React, Vue.js), Docker, MySQL, or Git. APIs

Ideally looking for people who are full stack used to developing scalable software solutions and who in time can translate their skills to different product areas.

Lots of growth around PHP Laravel JavaScript and API coming in the near future.

Analytical skills, you've got a logical, creative yet systematic approach to problems and have the ability to demonstrate, sound understanding of projects from the perspective of both the user and the business.

Commercial Business background so an understanding of the business priorities to ensure commercial success.

Drive and Motivation - energy, drive and a need to finish.

Adaptability - ability to remain positive and resilient under pressure and can adapt to change.

Duties include ......

Developing. A huge part of this role will be focused on the development of their software to ensure that they are working efficiently. You'll be building programs and systems that serve user needs and will be carrying out regular testing of software products to ensure strong functionality and optimisation.

Scoping. You'll need to be solution oriented in this role! As you'll be responsible for investigating the best results for the business system in line with business requirements.

Communicating & collaborating. You'll be working closely with the rest of the team albeit remotely and able to to communicate and feedback progress to project management and other stakeholders as well as working as a group to share knowledge and reviews of software.
