Operations Coordinator (Cambridge Region)



Salary circa £25,000-£30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

37 ½ hours per week Monday - Friday

Based at Fulbourn Road, Cambridge

We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Production Department for a driven, dedicated and technically minded individual to introduce, embed and maintain a new work management system for the Production department. We are responsible for the abstraction, treatment and distribution of water to over 300,000 people in Cambridge and the surrounding areas; this role will be vital in improving our operation and maintenance standards, assurance, efficiency and record keeping, whilst still supporting day-to-day activities throughout the change process.



Responsibilities:





  • Supporting the implementation of a new system (Maximo) for capture of operational activities and monitoring of asset and team performance

  • Leading the integration of the system into BAU working with technical specialists to expand the planned maintenance programme, and embedding a consistent reactive maintenance capture process


  • Ongoing management and maintenance of the system workflow working with Production Management to ensure that all work, planned and unplanned, in-hours and out-of-hours flows correctly and efficiently through Maximo


  • Being a central point of contact for planning of activities at Production sites, liaising with internal and external stakeholders; supporting Team meeting to plan/schedule activities


  • Analysing performance data development of appropriate maintenance reports identifying trends and reporting key performance indicators to the Management team


  • Supporting the management team in continuous process improvement, using initiative and applying knowledge gained from data analyses

  • Supporting the development and maintenance of operational procedures, quality assurance, training and health and safety documentation


  • Providing day to day administrative support to Production team operations such as ordering of materials, attending team meetings and coordinating departmental holidays and sickness cover




The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, able to effectively bridge the gap between technical and management disciplines, and have excellent organisational and communication skills, with the confidence and ability to influence others. The successful candidate will be pro-active, able to own and lead processes with technical and management support. Experience of the water/wastewater industry would be advantageous, as would experience in scheduling/logistics of field based teams. The use of initiative and problem-solving skills is also required.
