Swisslog design and develop a leading Warehouse Management System which is used by our customers across the globe to optimise their distribution centres and warehouses. This position will work on new customer projects developing the software in accordance with customer requirements.

Distribution centre automation is a rapidly growing industry and due to continued growth we require a Java Developer.

This is an exciting new opportunity for an individual to join the Software Realisation team based in the Redditch Office with opportunities for home working.


The successful candidate will adhere to the appropriate design strategies and development methodologies as required by Swisslog whilst undertaking the delivery of an entire software project, including design, implementation, testing and integration.


You will need to have a Java Developer background and will be competent in the use of JAVA (SE/EE), JPA, HTML/CSS, web technologies and constructs. Knowledge of ORM and relational database concepts and design would be an advantage.

The Java Developer role will deliver documented software in a quality controlled environment and you must be able to work without supervision when required. Desirable skills are XML including validation (SOAP interfacing, XML schemas), Eclipse, Glassfish, Maven, Oracle 10/11g SQL and PL/SQL, Oracle forms/reports and MS SQL server.

All candidates must occasionally be willing and able to work on customer sites in the UK and as required to carry out activities such as commissioning, testing, integration and training.
