Disaster Recovery Business Continuity Analyst

Prestigious Enterprise Company is currently seeking a Disaster Recovery Business Continuity Analyst. Candidate will assist with developing, delivering and maintaining a consistent and effective business and disaster recovery services and their Business Continuity Governance Practice. The analyst will help coordinate testing and administer disaster recovery and resumption plans working closely with infrastructure and application support teams. The DR Analyst will be responsible for, and participate in, the annual functional recovery and disaster recovery exercise, along with managing critical event coordination and communications. Candidate will help with the detailed process for gathering, verifying, changing and uploading this information into various systems and repositories. This work will aid in the recoverability process, in the event of an actual disaster, and is required for compliance with policy, external agencies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

Provide support and oversight for yearly disaster recovery exercise; help plan and coordinate the testing of recovery services and business support for multiple functional areas

Assist recovery support and business staff during a disaster; act as a coordinator during emergency situations

Responsible for helping develop, produce and maintain Disaster Recovery Management policies, standards, and guidelines. Maintain accurate and up to date documentation

Maintain Call Tree Distribution process and employee contact information with quarterly testing and verification

Participate in audits and regulatory inquires as necessary

Communicate and interface with support staff and senior management at all levels on the status of events and recovery services

Assist with day to day Incident and Problem Management areas supporting the Business and IT

Manage projects through the project life cycles of initiation, planning, execution and closure

Metric Reporting - Produce monthly and yearly metrics to highlight areas of services and responsibilities

Administer and support Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) processes used to support IT applications and business operations

Qualifications:

3-5 Years of relevant disaster recovery and business continuity experience

Good troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge with the ability to think outside the box

Understanding of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity principles with the ability to apply them in a consistent and effective manner

Broad knowledge of information technology systems, concepts and methodologies

Analytical background with an understanding of applications and infrastructure components with the ability to apply that knowledge to Disaster Recovery

Goals oriented with the ability to work under pressure

Aptitude to build relationships, engage and influence others in a diverse environment

Project Management experience preferred with good PC skills using Microsoft tools and software
