Full Time Deli Clerk

Deli Clerk Job Responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Greet customers promptly and kindly while delivering excellent customer service
• Assist customers with deli questions and special orders
• Offer samples and suggestions for purchase and preparation in a friendly and helpful manner
• Perform freshness checks on all products following department guidelines
• Perform proper rotation of product following department guidelines
• Rotate product following department guidelines
• Stock product following department guidelines
• Safely operate the deli slicer, wrapping machine and scale
• Perform sanitization functions to maintain cleanliness following the health and safety guidelines
• Employees will help in the Seafood and Bakery departments as needed

Deli Clerk Requirements, but not limited to:

• Must be 18 years or older to apply
• Attendance is priority and there is 60 day probationary period.
• Candidates must have open availability to apply (days, nights, weekends and holidays is requirement to work here)
• Able to deliver prompt and friendly customer service
• Able to interpret and follow instructions given by the department and store manager
• Proven ability to operate a deli slicer
• Able to operate a telephone and intercom
• Able to multi-task under pressure
• Able to lift and stack up to 50 pounds
• Able to bend, reach, squat, stand and walk for long periods of time during the shift
• Strong active listening and communication skills is a must
• Mask and glove wearing is mandatory throughout the shift

Good attendance is a priority and a requirement to work at Zagara's. There is an attendance/tardy point system that we following.
