Data Modeller (Graph DB)

We are supporting a financial consultancy.

This is 6 months initially and likely to receive an extension.

The day rate is negotiable based on experience and market rates. It will be Inside IR35.

This will be mainly remote; the client base is in London.

What you'll do
Develop and maintain our clients Project Logical Data Model.
Work with Proposition Playbook' business analysts and other stakeholders to translate data requirements into Logical Data Model.
Work with Data sprint team data product owner, data analysts and architects to refine data landscape and project backlog.
Assist engineering team to automate production of Risk Store graph meta model (Azure Cosmos Db).
Govern integration and API development, ensuring conformance to Project Data Model.
Produce Data Flow diagrams and supporting artefacts to describe data integrations for in scope systems.
Work with our clients Lead data modeller to uplift newly discovered logical entities and attributes into the Q-LDM Group data model

What you'll bring
Experience of the data solution development cycle from user requirements definition through design, development, testing and implementation
Experience of knowledge of complex graph-based solution issues and technologies
Experience of working with industry models for insurance or banking
Experience of Datamodelling including creation of Conceptual and Logical Data Models in relational and dimensional styles using tools such as Erwin
Experience of building physical data models
Working knowledge of industry standard data models and open data standards
Experience in managing enterprise data assets in a large, complex organisation
Business analysis and intelligence experience, with familiarity of modern, commercial business processes
Familiarity with cloud and data management trends, and leading commercial vendors that relate to data acquisition, management and the semantic web
Working use of visual notations for expressing data logical and physical models, state transitions, transformation and versioning. Ideally also data flows and business processes. Including UML, DPMN, ERDs, etc.
Working knowledge of database design patterns, SQL, No-SQL, XML and JSON standards, data and data type transformations.
Experience working with data warehouse systems and enterprise data flow management systems for traditional (SQL) and Big Data Solutions
Strong relationship building skills
Excellent organization, written and verbal communication
Knowledge of Cloud Architecture and components - eg AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
