SunIRef:Sales Position Purpose The Business Development Executive position is part of a high-performing Sales team focused on the continued growth of the Compliance Systems financial institution client base and is responsible for selling Compliance Systems' solutions to an assigned territory of U.S. financial institutions. The Business Development Executive reports to the Managing Director, Financial Institution Sales and is responsible for delivering net new sales for Compliance Systems. Essential Functions and Basic Duties Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Build and maintain a network of prospective clients to enable the generation of sales leads within a defined market segment or region. Use consultative selling to learn client needs and objectives - demonstrate alignment of client drivers with Compliance Systems' capabilities. Create a cohesive sales strategy to manage complex sales cycles which includes effectively navigating customer's evaluation, decision-making and approval processes Identify prospective customer champions and, in concert with those individuals, build consensus among key stakeholders. Expand Compliance Systems' financial institution partnership by building and maintaining relationships with key client stakeholders. Partner with Compliance Systems' Financial Institution support team to identify opportunities within existing clients Demonstrate knowledge of Compliance Systems' capabilities, value proposition, market, and competitive landscape. Prepare and present pricing proposals to clients - utilize Compliance Systems' approved proposal, pricing, and other resources and tools. Structure, negotiate, and close sales that meet customer expectations and are aligned with Compliance Systems ability to deliver. Provide thorough and timely responses to financial institution vendor due diligence (i.e., RFQ's, RFI's, RFP's) that incorporate value proposition messaging, competitive pricing and demonstrate our desire to be a trusted advisor vs. vendor. Lead and effectively deploy a coalition of Compliance Systems subject matter experts to include Executive, Line of Business, Legal, Technology, and Project Management. Assists in the development of sales campaigns and strategies. Meets all sales performance goals and objectives. Qualifications Education/Certification : A four-year college education preferred. Required Knowledge : Consultative selling and business principles designed to identify prospective client opportunities, cultivate and build rapport, and build an effective sales strategy to garner net new business for Compliance Systems. Experience Required : At least 10 years of successful business to business and industry selling experience. Skills/Abilities : Ability to communicate and sell key concepts to multiple levels of internal and client leadership (i.e., C-Suite, Sales, Legal, Operations, and Technical). Ability to develop long term close working relationships based on trust and respect. Requires strong negotiation, decision making, problem solving and communication skills Analytical skills are required to determine client business needs and requirements General knowledge of financial and/or payment solutions technology including systems, applications and banking practices. Ability to work as part of integrated teams. Ability to follow-up with and then manages the details at multiple levels across multiple tasks. Strong understanding of Compliance Systems value proposition and differentiators. Ability to remain calm under various levels of pressure Requires the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management (internally/externally), employees, clients and public Excellent independent time management abilities. Problem solving abilities. Superior proficiency in Microsoft Windows environment, Microsoft Office, Internet, Email, general computer environment. A fair amount of travel is required.
