About NAREVA NAREVA is a Moroccan private player specialized in the energy and water cycle sectors. As an independent electricity producer, NAREVA has a portfolio of assets with a total capacity of 3.5 GW, including more than 2 GW in renewable energy. NAREVA now operates five wind farms in Morocco and builds five more as part of the 850 MW Integrated Wind Project. The company is also engaging on the development of several photovoltaic projects including decentralized installations. NAREVA, MITSUI & ENGIE co-developed the Safi thermal power plant, which has been operational since 2018 with a capacity of 1386 MW (2 x 625MW). Safi is a state-of-the-art ultra-supercritical coal fired power plant. Areas of Responsibility The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the smooth functioning of the Finance and Administration of the company Reporting Line The Chief Financial Officer reports formally to the CEO of SAFIEC, [and reports within ENGIE to the CEO Northern-Africa and BU MESCATA]. Key Accountabilities & KPIs Financial Management Determine the financial strategy and manage the treasury of entity accordingly Managing the various Facility Agreements with the Facility Agent, and stakeholders. Special focus is required for detailed group reporting, drawdown of debt/equity and cash management Follow-up of the covenants and potential events of default under the various Facility Agreements. Establish / consolidate sound framework of financial policies & procedures. Analyse, on a monthly basis, the plant cash flow, net income and balance sheet position, report to the company board and various stakeholders through reporting KPI s Design and implement policies and procedures covering all aspects of finance function. The CFO is a key player in the implementation of the Internal Control Framework Prepare and control the yearly and long-term budget and business plans. Establish a reporting calendar and ensure reporting to all stakeholders as required. Establish the appropriate procedures and computerized management processes as applicable to a prudent financial management, financial, purchasing and accounting processes. Take a lead role in establishing, implementing, and executing performance management processes within the finance team. Manage all banking activities and maintain strong relationships with the lenders and local banking relationships. Reporting Ensure timely and accurate reporting required by Law and the stakeholders, Preparing reports for the Board, the Lenders, and the Shareholders. Maintaining the forward-looking financial model for the benefit of the board, lenders, and shareholders. Preparation of the financial statements of entity under Moroccan GAAP & IFRS, including relations with auditors. Preparing financial reports to the Board. Tax and accounting Supervision of the accounting (Invoicing, payments, bookkeeping and payroll) Preparation of invoice format, monthly Invoicing to the single energy buyer and follow up, including the monitoring of the invoices settlement system. Supervising the invoicing. Monitor the revenues from the available cash within the constraints of the various Facility Agreements. Prepare and file tax records. Administration Provide support in managing the financial, legal, and administrative aspects of the project agreements (including Power Purchase Agreement). Prepare and present information to the Board of Directors, prepare all the financial documents to be presented to the Board of directors and shareholders meetings. Implement, follow up and renew insurance policies with the help of ENGIE insurance experts and maintain relations with insurers and insurance broker. Insurance management Pilote information system & IT functions of the company and manage with the IT managers company s technology operations and the implementation of the required IT systems and policies. University Degree in financial discipline, MBA and/or CPA/Qualified Chartered Accountant is a plus. Experience 10 -15 years experience in finance/accounting and 5 years in a management position with solid bases in project finance, accountancy, internal control, management, and good notions of company and tax laws Knowledge of local financial, tax, banking and legal matters is a plus. Proven experience in IPP projects (developing, building or operating an energy facility) and knowledge of Power Purchase Agreement frameworks. With a minimum of 3 years in an executive management position within the power/energy sector. 3rd parties relationship / contractual management/ finance management. Specific Knowledge & Skills Extremely organized, detailed oriented and efficient Ability to manage tight deadlines and punctual heavy workload. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication and reporting capability. Strong ability to interact transparently with shareholders Self-directing, ability to coordinate and direct others. Ability to work efficiently in a broad cultural spectrum Good technical background/understanding. Ability to work independently. High ethical standards Language(s) Excellent English and French communication skills (written and spoken) Knowledge of Arabic (written and spoken) Location Safi, Morocco with regular travel to Casablanca.
