Head of Infrastructure

Group Head of Infrastructure - iGaming Software Provider - London or Malta

Arnold Ash Group are partnered with a leading iGaming software provider in their search for a Group Head of Infrastructure. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the role will operate as the key link between the development and operations teams and will manage the DevOps, TechOps & DBA teams. This position will have a pivotal role in our clients' ongoing technology transformation.

This is a hands-on role, with responsibility for the infrastructure, hosting, cloud, and databases as well as driving a DevOps culture across the business.

Experience required for the Head of Infrastructure:

• Experience working in a similar role within a web-based, high transaction business
• Architecting highly resilient systems using load balancing techniques
• Experienced in driving the implementation of a DevOps culture
• Ability to provide technical leadership on database performance setup and best practice
• Ability to be the authority on infrastructure, datacenters and cloud across a geographically dispersed organisations
• Experienced with designing secure platforms with a good understanding of common security attack vectors. You'll work closely with the Security team.
• Be familiar with PHP, MySQL, ELK, CentOS, AWS, etc

Responsibilities of the Head of Infrastructure:

• Own all operational teams in Technology with ownership of the 'run' functions
• Be responsible for infrastructure, hosting, cloud, and databases. You'll provide a service to Development teams.
• Drive the implementation of DevOps culture
• Provide technical leadership on database performance setup and best practice
• Be the authority on infrastructure, datacenters and cloud.
• Be experienced with designing secure platforms with a good understanding of common security attack vectors. You'll work closely with the Security team.
• Be familiar with PHP, MySQL, ELK, CentOS, AWS, etc
• Provide strong technical/none-technical leadership and mentor/coach your teams
• Have good ITIL knowledge, but know how to use the framework in a agile environment
• Manage risks and blockers, and escalate any constraints to resolution
