WHAT TO EXPECT As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located remotely, you will be in charge of selling Gates Power Transmission product line where you will be calling on mid-sized customers specifically within the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) sectors. Your territory will consist of mostly focusing in on the upper mid-west (ND, SD, NE, MN, IA, and WI). For this position Gates will provide you with everything you need for a home office, internet services, a company phone, and a company vehicle. - This is an exciting opportunity for you because you will be responsible to develop, secure, manage and grow market share of Power Transmission product lines with broad end market accounts at key mid-sized OEM customers. - You must beintimately aware of customer strategic goals, cycle plans and initiatives within the North American and global marketplace. - In this position you will work closely with our Application Engineers and District Sales Managers. - In this position you will be a hunter for new accounts and segments for them to utilize Gates Power Transmission product lines. Key responsibilities (to name a few): - Responsible to oversee, grow and manage sales & profitability expectations. - Find, cultivate and secure new business opportunities - Develop strong relationships and contacts within targeted industry segments. - Conduct and provide industry segment forecast and trend data to marketing team as required. - Comprehensive and collaborative business planning and CRM use. - Leads strategies for products or services provided responding to changing market conditions. - Manages and interacts regularly with internal resources to develop customer solutions and insight. ABOUT YOU Required: - 8+ years of progressive sales experience - Bachelors Degree - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to contribute to the development of sales budgets and forecasts - Ability to provide uncompromised customer service - A thorough understanding of market pricing pressures and industry demands - Business strategy development and implementation capabilities required - Experience with Microsoft Office Suite - Relocation is not provided - Must be willing to travel up to 70% through your territory - Ability to drive long distances for extended periods of time - Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. Preferred: - Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical degree - Experience selling Power Transmission or Powertrain products- chains, belts, motors - Experience selling to/in Industrial market segments - Experience with an CRM system WHY GATES?
