Java Developer - Permanent - Dublin (J2EE or Spring, Python or Scala)

An Investment Bank/Financial Service provider based in Dublin are looking for a Java Developer to join their team ASAP. The selected Java specialist will be engaged in planning, analysis, design, coding, consulting and implementation on Regulatory projects (eg G20 Regulations including Dodd Frank, MiFID, FATCA, Financial Reporting etc.).

Our client is looking for someone who is able to contribute to architecture design decisions as well as development tools and best practice for the team. The ideal candidate will possess experience of working on Real Time event driven systems (Such as Kafka), along with exemplary knowledge of Java development and a strong understanding of SQL, JMS and XML. Having knowledge of project deliveries based on Agile methodologies and DevOps principles is also required.

Required Technical Experience:

• Java development including J2EE, Spring and/or .NET framework


• Experience with Python and/or Scala


• Database development and querying - SQL, Data partition, Views in Oracle, Postgres, Cassandra, MongoDB


• Application Development using Messaging Middleware; Two or more of the following: JMS, Complex Event Processing, REST, Solace, MQ


• one or more of Apache Hadoop stack, Cloudera stack, Datastax stack


• XML, XSLT, JSON (and other messaging scripts)


• Collaboration Tools - Confluence, Stach, JIRA, TeamCity/Jenkins
