If you are an experienced Software Engineer with expertise in full stack development using .NET Core, fluent with DevOps concepts, code deployment processes, serverless architectures, solid understanding of micro services development and deployment, adept in modern JavaScript frameworks, and strong proponent of S.O.L.I.D principles this is the ideal opportunity. Our Vehicle Health Management Integration Systems team, part of Government Vehicle Health Management Systems, located in Hazelwood, MO , is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help lead the DevOps transformation of team. The Senior Software engineer will be part of an Agile team supporting the development of health management solutions. You will work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, development team, Program Managers, and other internal and external stakeholders to meet customer requirements, while playing a key role in the DevOps transformation of the team. You'll have direct input into product decisions, mentor junior and mid-level engineers, and actively communicate with users and stakeholders to keep all members informed, accountable, and clear on expectations. Position Responsibilities: Work in Agile team environment to develop, test and deploy software in Microsoft Technology Stack with .Net Core, C# Develop using containerized software with Dockers, micro-services Design and write S.O.L.I.D clean, scalable code and develop highly scalable APIs and services Perform code reviews and provide feedback on code quality and best practices Develop documentation and design materials, while recommending best design practices Take responsibility for technical problem solving, creatively meeting product objectives, and developing best practices Set up, maintain and refine CI/CD pipeline (Azure DevOps, OpenShift) Mentor and support developers from source control, through build automation, merge resolution, CI, test automation, deployment based on tools usage, and policies and standards Embrace our culture, with an emphasis on contributing ideas, thoughts, and constructive feedback Coach and mentor junior engineers and take responsibility for meeting commitments Use responsive web design to provide an optimal experience across all devices Create rich, interactive user-experiences with modern technologies with a focus on performance, scalability, security and maintainability Experience with at least one modern client side JavaScript framework or library (React, Angular, Vue) Clearance: This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering field. Experience in Object Oriented Principles and Software Design Patterns (CQRS) 4+ years of experience with at least one modern client side JavaScript framework or library (React, Angular, Vue) DevOps experience building CI/CD pipelines Expertise in distributed computing architectures using service bus, and related technologies (XML, SOAP, REST, JSON, etc.) Experience in .Net Core 2.x and higher or MVC, Web Api & Microservices Working knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Strong technical knowledge, with hands-on experience in product development in a variety of computing architectures and environments Thorough understanding of software development life cycles, development and technology tools, testing methodologies, and requirements gathering Knowledge of professional software engineering principles and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations Experience with microservice architecture and ability to design, develop and implement scalable, elastic micro-services Strong knowledge of infrastructure, including networking, server management, and information security, and the ability to provide hands-on support Experience working in an Agile/Scrum-like environment Knowledge with hardware and network setup is a plus Knowledge of cloud deployment Hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end systems and all points in between Experience with RESTful APIs Experience with test automation Knowledge of Git Experience mentoring junior software engineers Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).
