Consultant Ecologist

We are looking for a Consultant Ecologist to join our growing & friendly team. The candidate will ideally have between 2-4 years' experience within an ecological consultancy.

· Undertake Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEA)

· Preliminary Roost Assessments (PRA)

· Activity surveys for bats, presence/absence surveys for GCN

· Phase1 habitat surveys

· Other protected species surveys, eg. Schedule 1 (WCA) listed birds

· Botanical identification skills - identify invasive non-native species

· Experience of mapping software, such as QGIS

· Experience of ecological clerk of works (ECoW)

· Strong communication skills

· Knowledge of habitat management/creation/condition

· Willingness to work unsociable hours as required

· Clean driving license & own transport

· Experience of working on EPSML's

· Minimum FISC Level 3 or equivalent

· Protected Species class license

· Experience of handling protected species,

· Biodiversity Net Gain Metric 2.0

· Knowledge of UK Habitat Classification Assessment

· Member of or working towards CIEEM membership
