Are you enthusiastic and passionate about Business Development? This is a great opportunity to join the team of a well-established and innovative team. Helping the business to grow its customer base and strategic accounts within the UK Public, Commercial and Mid Enterprise markets via a highly focussed sales strategy.

The Job:

* Gather and record as much customer/prospective customer intelligence as possible

* Meeting the appointment target of between two to four sales visits per week.

* Creation and delivery of a Strategic Plan for the role together with detailed actions and clear objectives set out over the first 3, 6 and 12 months in post.

* Proactively supporting the objectives of the Sales and Marketing Director and playing a key role in helping him to significant grow the business revenue and profit performance

* Working with partners to enhance sales performance and convert sales leads / opportunities derived through strategic alliances

* Attending marketing events and external exhibitions

* Supporting the company’s Marketing activity and marketing teams to assist in lead generation or to increase foot print within its chosen markets

* Creating and closing sales opportunities to both new and existing accounts, together with attending customer engagement meetings

About you:

* This is a proactive sales role where you will be responsible for generating leads as well as being provided with leads where applicable.

* Proven ability to create sales leads, qualify these, arrange stake holder, decision maker meetings and orchestrate the delivery of successful commercial transactions

* 5 years plus face to face sales experience within a relevant, technically led market. Ideally the provision of managed IT services and solutions to SME, Professional service markets, and no profit sector

* Experience of selling into the public sector; specifically social housing would be advantageous

* Proven experience of winning new customers, supporting existing accounts and raising the sales performance of a fast moving and successful business

* Exposure to OJEU Bid writing or similarly prescriptive processes

* High levels of exposure to Storage technologies (SAN’s), Servers and other hardware related products

* Technical familiarity and understanding of Cloud Solutions, Hosted Solutions, DR and Managed Infrastructure Solutions
