Business Development Manager – Tech Start-up – Accelerated Growth Expected
South Yorkshire, base up to £35k + car allowance + commission + equity
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive new business sales and create positive and lasting relationships with customers based primarily in the UK.
The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role as the company moves into an accelerated growth period. Once established within the company, the successful Business Development Manager will be considered for share options and equity. This is an opportunity for more than just a job and a salary. Our product is genuinely unique, clients need it and for the right Business Development Manager, this will mean being part of the original team, inputting into decision making at the highest level, policy and overall strategy.
The role
You will play a leading role bringing the product to market, which largely sells itself. You will be the person speaking to businesses, working with customers to understand their needs and provide software solutions by demonstrating the value of our product. Once you’ve brought the customers onboard, there will be elements of Account Management to ensure they stay engaged and maximise the products usage.

Our client is an exciting tech start-up based in Yorkshire and working primarily within the manufacturing sector. They make innovative and creative software that enables businesses to speed up processes, ensure compliance and remove many headaches and operational challenge.
You will
Have proven success in creating and growing new business accounts
Be enthusiastic and motivated
Have strong commercial acumen and strong selling skills
Have a good understanding of technology and be able to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Have strong demonstration and presentation skills
Be a good listener, enabling you to analyse and understand the specific needs of potential customers
Be able to build rapport and relationships with ease
Be confident in dealings with clients at all level, from C-Suite to general staff
Excel at finding new opportunities
Be able to develop and execute strategic plans to maximise sales
Desirable skills
Experience working for or with manufacturers
Experience in marketing
Background in B2B software/tech sales or consultancy
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development and success of the company. As well as a generous salary package this candidate would have the opportunity to be considered as an equity partner in the business
