Database Specialist

Magnuson Hotels, an international hotel company with US and UK presence is seeking a contract Database Specialist to research market information from the company CRM and a variety of existing vendor/public websites. The information will then be organised in electronic records, for use by the Marketing and Business Development teams in two initial areas:

• Databases to drive new B2B sales expansion, USA and UK.
• Develop and manage a new global CRM process, focussed on driving bookings to .

The duties and responsibilities of this role will include but not be limited to;

• Use Salesforce.com, Costar.com & public websites to research market information.
• Extract and import data into usable company formats
• Assist in setting up new CRM marketing efforts; match existing customer segments from our customer database with unique promotional codes to drive direct bookings to
• Assist with search engine strategy and implementation.
• Salesforce experience (Intermediate or better)
• Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation

Requirements

• Proven suitable work from home environment
• Proven experience as Database Specialist, strong data ETL background, ideally as an Analyst or Developer

• Experience defining an ETL strategy to process data from a variety of originator and target sources
• Experience working with Cloud-based solutions

• Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
• Good command of English, both oral and written
• Great attention to detail
