Production Plant Construction Project Manager (M / F)

Contract Position

Responsibilities:

You will be part of a real estate team which includes a Project Director, a Project Manager interacting with many internal services (operations, finance, HR, IT, PMO, etc.).

You will be involved in the design and construction teams to ensure the completion of the project, within the Building - Real Estate department.

Specifically, you will be responsible for leading and being responsible for some of the major components of the large factory construction project, ensuring they are delivered on time, to quality and on budget.

For example

* Follow and update the construction project guidelines document which describes for all teams the structure, disciplines, meeting and approval requirements, reports, roles and responsibilities, ensuring it is fully understood and communicated
* Ensure that internal development and design briefs are completed and communicated to the relevant teams
* Manage the design team to achieve cost engineering aspirations and optimizations to ensure schedule in accordance with the construction contract
* Track design consultants, fees and agreed cash flow, ensure roles and responsibilities are kept clear and lead consultants / contractors on a day-to-day basis
* Ensure that the design progresses to achieve the overall design rules according to the costs and operational expectations initiated through the budget mandate
* Monitor the project's procurement strategy and the overall cost report
* Manage the design team to ensure that a robust set of our company internal requirements are produced as intended
* Manage requests and administration related to the contractor for processing by the project manager
* Monitor contractor's performance to ensure cost, time and quality goals are met
* Ensure all design and construction costs are managed on budget and accurately reported
* Obtain from the contractor and produce all development / design / construction reports internally
* Update internal project risk management processes
* Manage our company Asset Management's expectations (favor upkeep and maintenance contracts) to achieve the site's operating objectives within the allotted time
* This 16 to 18-month fixed-term position based in Le Havre (76) is to be filled as soon as possible.

Requirements:

* Minimum 10 years of experience in the industrial sector, ideally acquired with a consulting organization, or possibly on the client side
* Technically sound with in-depth knowledge in the real estate / building sector
* Analytical skills, proactivity in the management of project management / contractor requests ("contract management")
* Fluent English
* Thorough understanding and experience of the development process from start to finish
* Able to provide project leadership on site, motivate and manage external teams as well as complaints / contract management
* Interpersonal and communication skills. Able to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of people.
